The quenching car for coke oven is used to load red hot coke with a temperature of about 1000℃pushed out by the coke oven.And the coke is pulled by an electric locomotive and sent to the quenching tower for wet quenching,and then transported to the equipment for unloading the coke from the coke table.

The quenching car used for coke ovens is divided into two forms:mobile quenching and fixed point quenching.Due to the demand for low moisture quenching technology,the coke connection method of the quenching car adopts fixed point quenching.The advantage lies in low moisture content of coke and reduced sewage discharge.But this type of coke quenching method requires higher requirements for fixed-point coke quenching vehicles.

The composition of a coke quenching locomotive is composed of a frame sitting on a bogie,a 28°bottom plate frame installed on the frame,and the left and right side walls and front and rear end walls at both ends installed on the frame to form a box.In the past,single or double door boxes of coke quenching cars often had a triangular frame or middle wall in the middle to support the door and the front side wall as a tie or to block the door push rod in the middle position during double door opening,but the actual effect on site was not ideal.The tripod is too thin and damaged too quickly.Although the middle wall is composed of a skeleton and a heat-resistant plate,the impact during coke connection and transportation,as well as the compression on both sides of the middle wall during transportation,make the middle wall prone to deformation and fracture.Frequent and troublesome repairs.The new type of coke quenching car has eliminated the inherent modes of the tripod and middle wall in its design.Replacing the function of the tripod or middle wall by strengthening the front side wall and door.The door is made of white steel material(1Cr18Ni9Ti)and adopts a single door form.Add an arched support beam to the outer body to lift the car door,and ensure that it opens normally.The reinforcement method of the front side wall is roughly the same as that of the car door,considering the cost issue.Low carbon steel is selected as the steel material to reduce costs while maintaining strength.The left and right end walls are equipped with arch shaped support beams and observation ports are set up at the position of the heat resistant plate on the upper end of the end wall to facilitate the operator to observe the coke loading situation inside the quenching car.The arched support beam also serves as a roof eave.When the quenching car enters the quenching tower for quenching,the arched support beam can prevent water on the quenching tower from flowing into the bottom plate frame along the wall,and prevent corrosion of the support frame.

The bottom plate frame of the vehicle body is designed as a single channel steel structure in three sets of integral forms.During installation,it is fixed in three sets of integral forms,and the three integral frames of the bottom plate are fixed on the vehicle frame.The single support frame of the old coke quenching car's bottom plate has been fixed as a whole,and the three groups are fixed to each other to form a complete bottom plate frame.When focusing,the support force of the bottom plate changes from the previous support point to the impact force borne by the bottom surface,adapting to the on-site environment.It is time-consuming and labor-intensive to remove all heat resistant plates when repairing the bottom plate frame of the old coke quenching car.During the installation and maintenance of the new coke quenching vehicle,the heat resistant plate on the bottom plate and the bottom plate frame can be lifted out as a whole without the need for separation,greatly reducing the maintenance time.

The door opening device usually involves installing a cylinder with a diameter of approximately 450mm in the middle of the coke quenching car and connecting it with a connecting rod to connect a through shaft.The connecting shafts are connected through couplings,and bearing seats are installed on both sides of the coupling connection to support and fix them.When the cylinder push rod moves,the cylinder will push the connecting rod to rotate the through shaft,and the long rod at both ends of the rotating through shaft will also rotate accordingly.The two long rods are connected to both ends of the through shaft and the door on both sides.The fixing of the car door is achieved through articulated connections,so the rotation of the connecting shaft drives the long rod to rotate,thereby driving the car door to rotate and achieve the effect of opening the door.The installation and debugging of the coke quenching car door opening device is a complex part of the assembly process,which directly affects the effectiveness of use.Due to the longer vehicle body and the longer connecting shaft group,as well as the bearing seat fixed on the vehicle frame and installed on the same horizontal plane,the installation and debugging are difficult,and the deviation is too large,resulting in an increase in the required opening force for opening the door,resulting in an unsmooth opening.The deformation of the frame during on-site use directly affects the door opening device.In the early stage,the force required to open the door increases,while in the middle stage,the door opening is not smooth.In the later stage,when the required opening force after deformation is greater than the opening force provided by the cylinder,the door becomes stuck and cannot be opened.Due to the installation of the door opening mechanism at the bottom of the bottom frame,the space is limited and maintenance and disassembly cannot be completed in a short time,which seriously affects production and use.The door opening device of the new coke quenching car has a simple structure and is easy to install.It consists of two sets of small oil cylinders installed on both sides of the car door,and the long rod is synchronously pushed by the distributor to open the door.The structure of the through shaft and bearing support has been removed,which also reduces the inability to open the car door due to frame deformation and reduces maintenance rates.
